Navigating Grief and Loss
Grief is a complex emotional response to loss. It’s an individual experience with no set pattern or period of time for the healing process. It can filter through all aspects of your life including your beliefs, identity and physical health. Over time you will adapt to new ways of doing things, finding an adjustment that works for you.
The reasons for experiencing loss may not align with our expectations around grief, such as the passing of a loved one, and we can sometimes be surprised by our feelings as it may be less obvious than anticipated or thought. Grief is about endings that make a permanent impact, bringing change to our existing life. Here are some diverse examples of how we encounter loss.

- The removal of a limb.
- Receiving a diagnosis of a serious or terminal illness and the impact of health conditions.
